What’s up guys! Last week something super exciting happened. After working for a few months on this project I finally launched my Introduction to Calisthenics and Bodyweight Training course on Skillshare!
Skillshare is an online learning platform that allows you to teach your own classes on arts, business, lifestyle and many other topics and categories. It is a wicked tool especially for people who are trying to better themselves by gaining a new skill. I’ve been using this platform for a while now and had the idea of creating a calisthenics course specifically designed for people who are curious about calisthenics or simply are getting started and want to get the most out of it.
I’m going to keep it real and tell you guys that it wasn’t an easy process. As an athlete and an entrepreneur I’m very hard on myself and picky with what I do. I always want things to be perfect and often times when approaching a project like this, I have doubts as to whether or not I’ll be able to complete it and make it exactly what I envision. Reality is that no matter how hard we try, things are going to always change and shift a little bit and we have to learn how to deal with it.
I bring this is up because it is a good parallel to the one of starting calisthenics and being a beginner at it for example. It’s a project. A project in which you will have challenges, barriers and struggles but most importantly, small wins along the way that can help you forget about all those breakdowns.
I created this course because I want to see people win. I want to give people all the tools they need to be able to start their calisthenics and fitness journey on the right path and create for themselves an amazing outcome. For some, it might be getting into freestyle calisthenics while for other might be to simply be more healthy. Whatever it is, I believe that the foundation and the beginning stages of it are the most important in actually reaching those goals.!
This course will walk you through the definition of calisthenics and how it came to be what it is now. It’ll give you an overview of what you need in order to get started. It’ll show you all the main exercises along with common mistakes and how to fix them and it’ll walk you through my personal tips and tricks that have allowed me to reach high levels of performance in calisthenics.
